Giant Adventures.
One landscape, three stories. Walk in the footsteps of Finn McCool from the Ring of Gullion, across the Mournes, to the shores of Strangford Lough.
A landscape shaped by giants — and the people who tell their stories.
The Mournes were said to be carved when Finn McCool tore handfuls of earth from Ireland's heart. Where he stood became the Ring of Gullion; where he washed his hands became Strangford Lough. Giant Adventures is a six-month campaign that brings this mythology to life through three connected experiences: a storytelling walking trail, a season of family events at our museums and forest parks, and a flagship festival weekend in August.
The campaign supports Council priorities around increased dwell time, off-season visitation, and partnership marketing with Tourism NI's Embrace a Giant Spirit brand framework.
